How green is BlueMailCentral?
How does BlueMailCentral help the environment?
Because you are using BlueMailCentral, your CO2 emission is less than if you did not use BlueMailCentral. It is impossible to determine the exact amount of CO2 saved. Think of the transport of the envelopes to the store and from the store to your office. Unless everyone uses BlueMailCentral, the car collecting the mail from the mailbox will be going there anyway. Some people have a mailbox practically in front of their doorstep, others have to drive at least half an hour to get there.
So how green is BlueMailCentral?
Whenever possible, we work with companies already active in reducing CO2 emission. Deutsche Post World Net, TNT, La Poste Group, Post Danmark, Swiss Post, De Post-La Poste, Itella, Posten Norge, and Maltapost, for example, have signed an agreement committing themselves to reduce their CO2 production with 10%.
Our printing partners use almost exclusively recycled paper as well as envelopes. Although some countries try their best to recycle as much as possible, it can always be improved. Therefore it is very important to redirect all incoming mail to a recycling centre. The largest part (41%) of all used paper in the world is not actually used for communication but for packing. Besides, paper can not be recycled endlessly, after 5 to 7 times, the paper fibres become too short. So there will always be a need for new paper.
BlueMailCentral is very conscious of the environment: almost all meetings with external parties, for instance, are being held by telephone, video conferencing, or e-mail.
Act like BlueMailCentral and save the environment where possible. Every little bit helps!
